Being within 1 hours drive for a choice of stunning golf courses, Chalet Eira makes the perfect base to explore Alpine Golf at its best.

Golf de Lets Gets. 18 holes, 5264 m, par 70. 5 minutes drive.
It's on our doorstep. A stunning 18 hole course which really is a testement to the skills of the green keepers. Covered with snow for 5 months, and even skiing over some of the greens,  6 weeks of hard labour turns Lets Gets into a quality Alpine course with stunning views. West towards  Lake Geneva or East to Mont Blanc. Which ever direction you're facing, it's truly lovely, but you'll  have to be straight.

Royal Evian. 18 holes, 6054 m, par 72. 45 minutes drive.
This course must surely compete with any course in Europe, if not the world. A beautifully maintained and mature course. Annually featuring on the LPGA tour, and splashing out on one of  the biggest prize purses in ladies golf, Royal Evian is a course that any golfer would want to 'tick off the list'. This years Masters is from 21st - 24th July.

Annecy. 18 holes, 5019 m, par 69. 1hour drive.
Another beautiful Alpine golf course, set peacefully above the Lac de Annecy. Wider and more forgiving than most mountain courses, and the perfect location for a lunch time tee off followed by an evening meal in one of the many restaurants overlooking the lake.

Chamonix. 18 holes, 6076 m, par 72. 1 hour drive.
Having not yet played this course, I cannot comment on personal experience, but I have heard many good reports, and I look forward to trying it out. After all, being in the shadows of Mont Blanc and its glaciers, how bad could it be? Another area that warrants a little apres golf drink before the return journey.
